Ready, Set,.........Wait

The Opportunity.
Countdown. One more day. I have eight more hours to give to my current shop and my notice is complete. Please don't misunderstand me, I love the place. I am going to miss my coworkers and friends. But, for my benefit and the benefit of my family, I must move on. Such is this business. Being what some would consider a rookie photog, I have to count myself lucky for this chance.
Moving up to larger market comes with a pay increase, which still doesn't amount to much, but that isn't the main motivator for most in our line of work to make the move. Opportunity to shoot more, better, and more compelling stories is the true basis for any move. There are naturally more stories in a larger area, therefore more opportunity for me to shoot. The more I shoot, the better I should become, as long as I continue to put forth the effort to improve.

The Problems.
Originally, the townhouse we rented was supposed to be ready this weekend for us to move into. I was informed today that it wouldn't be ready until the Tenth. Luckily, there be family up North. Not mine, Heather's. So now I am stuck intruding on my future mother-in-law's life for a week-and-a-half. Plus, I will have to wait until the following weekend to move my stuff up. Therefore, I will most likely not be able to post anything about my first and second week until later, which is something I feel will be worth documenting for retrospect.
I will be going up by myself initially. Heather is going to stay on with her current job for a little bit, hoping to find one in Columbus before quitting here.

Of course, Aidan will be staying with her along with the animals. This will put us two-and-a-half hours apart, not too bad but still apart. It's going to be tough having so little time with family right after parting with everyone else.

The Conclusion.
It is a move worth making, though it is going to be rough for a little while. Bear with me as I make my transition from hillbilly hippie to citified hillbilly hippie. Maybe, just maybe, the transition process will provide interesting and entertaining material for you to read about.
