First Day

I am going to make this short...yeah, I hear the sarcasism in your voice when you say, "But, but, Ernie..." I'm tired. It's been a long day, not bad, just long and hot. My first day on the job can be summed pretty easily..."Same S*#% Different City." Don't get me wrong, this is not griping...this is the business.

Filled out paperwork first. Sorted through my new gear, found that it wasn't well cared for, had to wait to turn it in because we needed to get a live shot up. Shot a OSU news conference with the Coach Tressel that I didn't think was going to end. The conference was taken live twice during the Noon news, had audio issues during the first hit. Especially since my tripod wouldn't lock in place so I had to hold the arm to keep the lens from raising to the Heavens. Shot an interview for sports. Ingested the video. Filled out work orders for my broken gear. Hung out with the assignment desk. Went home, Heather's mom's home that is. Goodnight.
