And the Clan Grows...

As of 2:24 July 11th, the Hall Clan is one warrior larger. Aidan Liam came into the world after 36 hours of labor his mom endured without complaint or cursing me with words or threatening early erectile dysfunction by her hand.

I have to give a big thanks to everyone for all the support and the gifts that were received during the pregnancy and after the delivery.

Everyone in both family's showed true trooper mentality. Heather's Mom and Grandparents stayed the whole duration of labor, displaying true loyalty. Dakota, refusing to be outdone, stayed at the hospital until the afternoon after her brother was born.

She stayed on with us, sleeping in 2 to 3 hour increments while Heather labored on. Our part was easy, support, even though the foldout bed was extremely uncomfortable with an adult and child sharing the limited space it afforded for sleeping. Dakota did well to fight off the child version of cabin fever while waiting for her brother to come into our world. I have to give another BIG thanks to Heather's family for keeping her entertain while the hours wained away o' so slowly.

You couldn't ask for a more proud sister as she is.

Once Aidan arrived and the family finished with pictures, cooing, and deciding which features came from whom, we were allotted some time to sleep and recover from the long process of child-birth. Heather was unable to enjoy the amount of sleep that the rest of us had due to feeding the baby, yet she went on without complaint.

We had to stay at the hospital for 2 days due to the new policy, so we didn't get home until Sunday afternoon. I took the night off to get the family resettled and to clean the mess the animals had created while we were away (when the humans are away, and all that...). It's a good thing that I was at the house because Aidan decided he wanted to stay up all night and be held. So I popped in Jeff Dunham and stayed up with the little guy. It was about 6 when he decided it was time to sleep for more than 10 minutes.
